Better Weather Ahead?

Good Afternoon!

Today has been one of those days where you just want to stay inside and just watch TV. Morning drizzle ended up staying around for almost the entire day. The mist along with some thick cloud cover made it difficult for temperatures to reach our forecast high for today.

Rainfall totals were really low over the last 24 hours with most places only picking up a tenth of an inch to some places in south central Kentucky received around a quarter of an inch. Check out this graphic put together by the NWS Louisville.

Tomorrow will be a little bit better ad rain chances are pretty low and temperatures should be able to rise into the upper 70s and maybe into the mid 80s. So at least the second half of your weekend will be pretty nice!

Looking ahead into the next week, there will be a return to the summer pattern that we had been seeing with nearly daily chances of isolated showers and thunderstorms. But there will be a system move through on Wednesday and Thursday that may bring with it better rain chances. I will have a better look at these rain chances when we get closer to mid week.

Forecast:

Tonight: Slight chance of isolated showers, with patch fog possible late. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Low: 64°

Tomorrow: 20% chance of isolated showers and a north wind near 5 mph. High: 80°

Tomorrow Night: Partly cloudy skies with a north wind becoming calm in the evening. Low 70°

As always you can get the latest weather information here on the blog, or on Facebook or Twitter!

Have a Great Night!
