Severe Weather Possible?

Good Afternoon!

Today has been yet another warm day across southern Kentucky! As areas around the region are seeing temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.  Bowling Green is currently sitting at 74°. Warm weather looks to continue over the next couple of days with chances for some severe storms being possible. Tomorrow will be the main day for the severe weather but the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed some of southern Kentucky under a slight risk of severe weather through tomorrow morning.
SPC Slight Risk Outlook for 4/2/2014

The above graphic shows the area that is included by the SPC slight risk area. But be aware that storms do not follow man made boundaries. Make sure that you go ahead and review severe weather safety precautions ahead of these storms. The main threats for tonight are damaging winds and large hail. But these severe storms will be very isolated in nature. Looking ahead to tomorrow, the risk is just a little bit higher especially for areas to our south and west. Where the SPC has placed them under a "moderate" risk for severe weather. All of southern Kentucky is included in a slight risk again tomorrow.
