Brief Warm-Up Coming!

Good Evening!

Temperatures across the region this morning were the coldest we have seen all year! For the most part low temperatures were in the mid teens, but some places fell into the lower teens with some places falling into the single digits. Check out that 2° reading found in Henderson County. This would have been enhanced by the higher amounts of snowpack found along the river.

High temperatures across southern Kentucky were not able to reach the 30° mark as most areas struggled to even reach the upper 20s. Tonight will be yet another cold night as most of the region will fall back into the middle teens, with some places closer to the snowpack falling into the lower teens.

We will see a brief warming trend over the next few days as we will see high temperatures rise back into the 40s tomorrow and maybe into the 50s this weekend. This warm-up will be brief though, as we will see another cold shot early next week.

We should be able to remain dry over the next few days with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies dominating the region through Thursday. There will be one shot of precipitation on Friday and Friday night, but it is too early to say how much. I will have more details as we get closer.

Forecast:

Tonight: Mostly clear and cold with winds out of the south at 5-10 mph. Low:17°

Tomorrow: Mostly clear skies with winds out of the southwest at 10-20 mph. High:45°

Tomorrow Night: Partly Cloudy skies with winds out of the west at 5-10 mph. Low:25°

Have a Great Night!
