Rain Chances Coming!

Good Evening!

Today was a nice day despite the heat and humidity throughout the day. Sunny skies dominated the entire region as temperatures warmed into the low to mid 90s for highs. Relief may be in sight as a couple of rain chances are lining up for the rest of the week. These rain chances may try to put a dent into the rain deficit that we have been seeing across the entire area.

The above image is a look at the quantitative precipitation forecast produced by the Weather Prediction Center. This image looks at the forecast amount of precipitation over a given period of time. This particular graphic is for the next 3 days. Notice that all of our area is in an area of around 1" of rainfall.

If we are able to get this amount of rain it will be extremely beneficial to area farmers who have been dealing with drought conditions for the last several weeks as most of our area has fallen into the moderate drought category by the US Drought Monitor.

 Forecast:

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a light north wind. Low: 68°

Tomorrow: 30% chance of showers otherwise mostly cloudy. High: 90°

Tomorrow Night: 50% chance of showers. Low: 68°

Have a Great Night!
